THE GREAT COMMISSION
"Then, as you are going..."
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
A key component of who we are at Trinity Lutheran Church is our mission work. Specifically, how are we reaching out into our community and world with the truth and love of Christ? All Christians should be asking this question of themselves and of fellow believers. At Trinity we answer that question in a multifaceted way: Local, Regional and Global.
Locally, Trinity Lutheran Church is an active part of the Glenwood, Mills County and the Southwest Iowa community. Our members are engaged in service work and witness in the Mills County Store House, The Glenwood Senior Center, The Mills County Ministerial Association Food Pantry, Linwood Assisted Living Center, Glenhaven Nursing Home and the On With Life program. Trinity Lutheran Church is also a voting member of the Mills County Ministerial Association.
Trinity Lutheran Church is a member of the Iowa District West of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Iowa District West has a multitude of opportunities and partnerships that enable us to further our reach in sharing the love and truth of Christ with our neighbors here in western Iowa. For decades, Trinity Lutheran Church has been a faithful supporter of mission work thru our district and thru Mission Central. Mission Central is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support Lutheran missionaries in the mission field around the world. Trinity Lutheran has financially supported dozens of missionaries thru Mission Central throughout the years. Pastor Kaiser currently sits on the board of directors for Mission Central.
